A simpler Kahoot alternative

For the moments when you want to play a quiz now, not set one up.

Kahoot is excellent, but it is a full platform. To host a game you create an account, build or find a quiz, pick a mode, and then get a pin. That is fine for a prepared lesson. It is a lot when you just want a quick round with the people in front of you.

Pling is a Kahoot-style quiz stripped down to the moment of play. The host opens the page and presses start. That's it. A six-digit pin appears, everyone else enters it on their phone, and ten questions later there is a winner.

What makes Pling simpler

No host account. Nothing to sign up for or remember a password to.
No app for anyone. Players just open the website. It works on any phone with a browser.
No quiz to prepare. Ten questions are drawn from a built-in bank every time, so every round is different.
Local questions. The bank is written per language, with questions about the host's own country, not translated from one master list.

What you give up

Honesty matters more than a sales pitch. With Pling you cannot write your own questions, choose topics, save quizzes, get reports or use other question types.
